Why I Became a Bariatric Physician
I love what I get to do every day! I love my patients’ stories and that I get to help them have a fresh start. People bring their dreams to me every day, and I get to help them become a reality. It’s Inspiring!
“What are your goals, what would you like to see a change in your life when you lose the weight?”
This is how I start a consultation, and the answer is always different. Some want to be off of medications or be pain-free, some want to walk a 5K or run a marathon, some want more quality time, or to be more active in life and with their families. Their first anniversary is always my favorite because we get to talk about their progress and what they are doing now. In the end, we have all been inspired by each other.
