Over 10,000 people have joined the Bariatric Support Group Online on Facebook. The group was started by Michel Demma, who states he lost 200 pounds in the first year after the procedure and 250 pounds total. The group is open to people in all stages of bariatric surgery, from considering the procedure to those working to support each other post-op.
